Details

Hello my friends, happy day to you and thank goodness for Friday! It has been a looong week but great one at that. My blogger has been down the last day or two, so I have been out of the loop and will have to catch up on all the latest buzz over the weekend. I am also looking forward to flipping through the pages of the newest issue of Lonny Mag...so much to do so little time.
I am very much looking forward to hitting the town tonight with the girls to celebrate a special friend's birthday!
I have been working on my portfolio and am in the process of actually doing something with my website...other than having a holding page which has been there for a year or so. I mean really Rome wasn't built in a day so like I tell my clients these things don't happen instantly they take time, right?
My friend, colleague, Marie of Phreckles Photography was so so wonderful this week when I needed photos in a jiffy and came to my rescue, thank you, thank you!
She did some shots of my home so I thought I would share a few with you. I am really into detail oriented photos and always enjoy seeing them on other blogs and publications.
Hope you enjoy, I am off to paint the town...

Fa la la la la

Joy, Joy the weekend is here and only 15 days until Christmas!
There are so many fun festivities happening in town this weekend and I can't wait to partake in a few of them.
As always I have some of my favorites for Friday and I do love to share.

For a limited time this holiday season Goldbug Studio is opening the door to their Folly Store for those of you who are looking for a special handmade gift. Ashley Carter's whimsical, fairy tale, glitter inspired "follies" have drawn national attention from celebrities, publications, and stores. Bergdorf Goodman and Anthropologie both have her lovelies as the gifts for the season. I will definitely stuffing some stockings with goodies from Goldbug.

Goldbug Studio

My home is pretty well decorated for the season but there is so much inspiration out there for holiday decor with beautiful images. I enjoy buying the greenery and always purchase Boxwood wreaths and garlands but when I see all the options from The Magnolia Company I second guess my decision and think maybe next year I should mix it up. Whether you prefer magnolia, evergreen, or boxwood they have an array of wreaths to satisfy any style.
One of my personal favorites is the stunning Holiday Red Lacquer Wreath shown below.

Lonny Magazine is live today and is packed full of chic interiors, holiday gift ideas, and inspiration for you. The Long Island home of designer Eileen Kathryn Boyd is a colorful breath of fresh air in this season where the color all around us tends to be a little bit more muted. A definite must read for the weekend.

I know that I sing the praises of the New Orleans confections shop Sucre but I really must say their holiday collection is by far one of my favorites. I always look to them for special goodies when I am marking off my Christmas list. Their peppermint bark, macaroons, drinking chocolate, and candies pecans are at the top of my list. Yes, I will take one of each.

For the last 3 or 4 years I have been working with Marie Cox of Phreckles Photography to photograph my family images and to create my holiday card. I typically tell her what I am feeling and she comes up with a fun photo for my children. I just wanted to share one of the images from this year's photo shoot as a sneak peek because she always does such a wonderful job and truly captures the twinkle in their eyes and the magic of the moment.

Happy Friday!

All Work No Play

This week has been crazy busy and I am not complaining, love the chaos because for once I am organized, for the most part... I am working on fun projects right now, the kids are finally in school and life is good! I am checking out today though for social engagements, a friend's wedding, what a beautiful weekend it will be but stay tuned I have some exciting happenings to post next week!

These are a couple of yummy patterns I am working with right now, different projects and like my client said about Birds you just want to wrap yourself up in it! Agreed.

Rio shown in House Beautiful magazine makes a great accent fabric.

Birds is beautiful on just about everything and is also available in Suncloth to be used outside.

In the meantime everyone mark those calendars for next Saturday September 18th! Moxie Kids and Phreckles Photography are hosting quite the soiree with the Open House of Phreckles and their new awesome location at 515 Hargett Street and Moxie's fall of super cute duds...Pink Chicken is too cute with Appaman following a close second.
Ice cream, face painting and sessions with Marie, who could ask for anything more!
I will post a reminder next week, this is an event not to be missed.

Have a great weekend, off to put my party shoes on!

Dad's Day

Happy Father's Day
A special day for all the fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers everywhere. I know my family has all of these and I want to say how grateful I am to each of you for the love and support you have given me and give me everyday, thank you. My sweet husband thank you for being the backbone of our family, a wonderful husband, my biggest supporter and most of all thank you for our 3 beautiful children and the love you show them everyday!
