In with the new

How fabulous is spring...love it! What I love more is the sight of these beautiful french tulips I picked up at my favorite local florist. They are so welcoming and a breath of fresh air this time of year. On the outside the trees are budding and the flowers are starting to sprout up everywhere, any day the city will be bursting with color! My day started out great, I went from seeing these beauties to looking at.....

Osborne and Little's beautiful Lorca collection

in silk. The picture really does not do it justice,
                                                                      breathtaking.

Carleton V has a flame stitch which is a fun, funky outdoor fabric that comes in
all these fun colors....I could seriously find a home for all of them!

There were so many new fresh fabrics to look through, ombres, linens, stripes and prints...it was pleasantly overwhelming!

It has been a few few days since I looked through the latest issue of Town and Country, which happens to be the special Travel Issue. I cannot go a day more without commenting about how chic Jenna Lyons looks attending the Studio Museum Fundraiser in Harlem.

Jenna is the creative director for J Crew and her New York home has been featured in Living Etc. and Domino. I love how she looks so glamorous yet effortlessly put together. The fur vest adds a bourgeois look to her formal gown. I bet these beautiful pieces are hanging in this beautiful dressing room featured in Domino. Ohh...to hang there for the day!

                                                                 F Schumacher
The latest issue of InStyle Magazine features the lovely home Julie Bowen decorated by her ever so talented sister Molly Luetkemeyer. The blogs are blazing with the Molly's projects, which are fabulous but I am really loving the large chaise in the living room of Julie's home in Schumacher's Pearl River. I love how Julie says her sister suggested the fabric because "colors can hide the throw up" ! As a designer with 3 small children I can totally relate and that is why I selected...

Schumacher's Pearl River for my breakfast area and family room. I mean, can you really see any spaghetti o stains on this fabric?

Last but certainly not least I am looking forward to my next trip to New York. After reading about Julie Janklow's new restaurant Sweetiepie in Greenwich Village I can hardly wait to take my little munchkins for a visit and maybe my daughter can have the signature drink  "Pinkalicious".
